Toyota GT86

The Toyota GT86 is a sports car for the purists. It pairs a 2.0 naturally aspirated petrol engine with rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. A rear limited slip differential is fitted as standard for fantastic handling in corners and this is where the GT86 really comes alive, with the free-revving engine hunting down corners and the suspension pulling you through them beautifully. It’s sensational to drive.

The GT86 Pro is the model to have, with 17” machined alloy wheels, heated front seats, suede upholstery, a rear spoiler and the Toyota Touch 2 6.1” infotainment system. Cruise control comes as standard for crunching motorway miles, together with LED headlights, power-folding door mirrors and keyless entry and push-button start.

GT86 Features

Multimedia Display

The Toyota GT86 is unmistakable in its intent. It sits low to the ground with an aggressive stance. 17” machined alloy wheels, striking LED headlights and a rear spoiler accentuate the sporty nature of the GT86 and hint at its potential.

Sports Seats

With 200 bhp and 156 lb-ft of torque, the GT86 really gets a move on when you push it. It revs to 7,000 rpm and the manual gearbox is a pleasure to use with its short throw. You can also feel the tyres through the steering wheel.

Cruise Control

The GT86 has 4 seats but it’s best used as a 2-seater sports car. You can accommodate two adults in the back, but that space is best for a weekend bag. The boot is decent, offering up 237-litres of space (500-litres with the rear seats folded).

Personalisation

Pro models have heated front seats, keyless entry and start, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth and a 6.1” touchscreen. The GT86 is comfortable enough to be a daily driver and capable enough to be your weekend fun.
