Gold for Steve Kewin!

This week at Lindop I had the great privilege of seeing our Service Manager, Steve Kewin get his gold award for service and parts. This award has taken Steve over 5 years of service and training at Lindop and his commitment was acknowledged at a ceremony at the TMUK plant in Deeside. 

As part of the celebration we were taken on a guided tour around the factory to see how they made the ZR engine featured in Toyota’s and (after some modification) Lotus’. Seeing the factory was a brilliant experience and the attention to detail of the men and women on the production line was jaw dropping.

Not only did we get this great opportunity, we also got to see the new Marai (which is pronounced without the second a) which is a lot smaller and has a lot more detail than you expect after just looking at pictures.

The final little treat was meeting Johnny Herbert, British racing legend who attended the event to present the awards.
