Around the world in 80,000 emailsAround 80,000 staff at Marks & Spencer were emailed with details of the "Green Credentials" of the Toyota Prius, members were invited to enter a competition to win a brand new Prius model of their choice. Several thousand entries later, the winner was announced as Louise Levett from Hampshire. Louise was delighted with her win, choosing a Prius T4 model in Silver Metallic paint, she was handed the keys by Dave Hughes, Sales Manager at our Wrexham centre. Dave Hughes & Louise Levett view the Toyota range of cars.
NCH. Lache Family CentreLindop Toyota were pleased to be able to supply 13 tickets to the Lache Family Centre. Emma Knight, Project Administrator said she was delighted with the tickets, which would be distributed amongst local parents and children they are working with at the centre.
Lindop Toyota help create the "Greenbox"The worlds richest corporations spend millions of pounds a year to help solve the problems of carbon emissions, but in association with Lindop Toyota, three local fishing pals have developed a "Greenbox" which they say can reduce carbon emissions from cars by between 85% to 95%. Face of the FutureThe final to find the "Face of the Future was held on Sunday evening at The Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Crowds turned out to see the top twenty finalists take to the catwalk, and take the crown for winner of "Face of the Future. The event was sponsored by Tommy’s Hair Company, Lindop Toyota and the Daily Post. The top twenty were put through their paces and a shortlist of ten went on to show off their evening wear. Tommy Van Der Veken, Director of Tommy’s Hair Company, said "there has been such a buzz back stage, it’s all make-up and nerves" he told a packed audience at the newly opened Venue Cymru Arena. After a great deal of deliberation, the winner, Naomi Jones a 19 year old beauty therapist from Denbigh, was announced Queen of the catwalk. Naomi wins a Toyota Aygo for a year, sponsored by Lindop Toyota, and a top photo shoot in London, with a chance to discuss a modelling contract with top model agency "Premiere" Dave Hughes Sales Manager presents Naomi Jones with the keys to her new AYGO Update Naomi won a photo shoot in London and has been working with Tommy, from Tommy’s Hair Company, on some modelling in Manchester and North Wales, when asked recently what the Aygo was like to drive, Naomi said "The car is lovely to drive, very nippy and great on fuel, it has been totally reliable and has lots of places to store things, to sum up, it has been a really nice car to drive" Naomi is looking to continue with her modelling career, and we wish her all the very best of luck.
Football in the communitySunday 29th April saw the very first Lindop Brothers Football in the community day. Over 140 children applied for the action packed day, but numbers had to be capped at 100 to keep things nice and safe. The day was a complete success with Mums, Dads, Children and Grandparents all having a fantastic day out. Coaching sessions from the staff at Wrexham Football club proved to be a winner! Payroll GivingThe Lindop Toyota group have been awarded with a Payroll Giving Quality Mark "Gold Award" for commitment to good causes and the local community. Funded by HM Government, the scheme recognises and rewards businesses for making Payroll Giving available to staff. Our staff donate to charity through the scheme, which means that £10 donated each month only costs the employee £7.80 for employees paying the basic rate of tax. Safe4KidsLindop Toyota have been awarded a 3 star level for sponsoring Safe4Kids Flintshire. Safe4Kids work with youngsters to warn about the dangers of growing up. They work with educationalists and the emergency services to make children aware of the dangers they may encounter, whilst encouraging their natural sense of adventure. Nightingale HouseLindop Toyota are proud to be associated with Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham (Hospis Ty’r Eos) and have supplied a brand new Toyota Aygo as a raffle prize. Tickets for the raffle were available all last year, and the lucky winning ticket was drawn in December. Sandra Monks of Nightingale House said "We are delighted with the raffle, it raised over £31,000 pounds for the charity. The lucky winner, Jane Bartley from Wrexham was delighred with her win, she will take delivery of her Aygo on March 1st, complete with the brand new 08 registration plate. Left to right. Chester Referee SocietyChester Referee Society held a Race Night on Saturday 9th February. Lindop Toyota were the main sponsors for the evening which was attended by Referee’s and their families. The money raised will be used to train new Football Referee’s in Chester, and also enables them to be able to take members of the society to this years National Conference to see guest speaker Pierluigi Colina, Ex FIFA Referee.
