We are often asked, is it possible to improve economy AND performance in a diesel engine? Well the answer is YES by fitting one of our economy and performance chip kits.

Lindop Toyota can now supply you with the latest high tech economy & performance chip kits for most of the Toyota D4D diesel range of engines. The Lindop Chip tuning kits work in two ways, either plugging onto each injector plug and controlling the length of the injector timing, or on the later models, they plug directly on to the fuel pressure AND boost sensors. Power and torque is therefore increased only when demanded by the driver, they do not overfuel the engine at all. The units are fully electronic (microprocessor controlled) cheap products are available on auction websites, but these use resistors costing less than 10 pence, they are unreliable and will likely cause damage to the car as they simply fool the cars computer into thinking the engine is running cold which causes over-fuelling even at idle. This is not possible with our electronic units as they constantly monitor the fuel load to the injectors and can work out the vehicle revs and engine load in relation, our units do not increase fuelling until the engine is under load and the turbo charger starting to produce boost, power will also drop back to almost standard at high RPM to avoid engine damage at high revs. Service intervals remain unchanged but should be done on time and using original Toyota service parts and oil.  All diesel vehicles do use some oil so it is important to check oil level regularly even between service intervals.. We also supply rail and boost kits for later models such as the T180, most of which are adjustable (please ask as some cars are NOT) You can expect a boost in BHP of around 20-25% Our units work! we have been selling them for a long time and are able to offer you help and advice by telephone.
