Mirai is the future

Translated into Japanese Mirai means ‘Future’ and everyone at Toyota truly hopes that the concept of a pollution free car really is the future. Last month the new Toyota Mirai made its first journey around London. Not only was the car near silent the only thing coming out of the exhaust was water vapour.

The car runs on Hydrogen which is used to make electricity. The Toyota blog wrote, “Hydrogen is stored in the car’s high-pressure tanks and used to generate electric power in a Toyota-designed fuel cell system. Rooted in Toyota’s hybrid technology, Mirai’s drive system marks a significant step towards achieving sustainable, zero-emissions mobility as part of a low carbon society.”

You will start to see hydrogen fuel being sold across the UK ready for the cars release next year. Join us on Facebook for the latest Mirai news.
